I thought this day would never come. Work has gotten crazy, and things have slowed a bit here on Tight Mix, but I have somehow found the time to give a nice refresh to my e-book, “How to REALLY Get Your Music on Blogs.” The first version of my e-book was released back in June 2010, and had accumulated over 5,500 downloads since then. You gotta love an e-book that uses the phrase “self-promotional douche-nozzle.” While we all try to promote ourselves, we have to be aware that people can see through a sales pitch and would rather connect with the music or musician instead. I always think about the albums that inspired me to want to play music and it is the music and musicians that have made the lasting connection – not a trend.
