While getting my morning dose of blog knowledge the other day, I came across this really awesome tool that I think I am actually going to start using. And, it was made by a fifteen year-old kid in less than three hours!
…kids these days. pfft.
I have always found iTunes’ built-in search functionality to be sluggish, bulky, and annoying to use (which is probably why I don’t buy much of my music from iTunes). iTunes Instant, however, might just change my music buying habits. iTunes Instant is a tool very similar to Google Instant Search, where it displays search results for music as you are typing.
Every link directs you to those infamous iTunes pages where they ask if you’d like to launch the application. I love anything that saves time, and this thing is a huge-time saver if you know what you’re looking for and want to quickly get into the iTunes store, make your purchase, and get out (yes, please!).
The service is currently hosted on Stephen Ou’s personal website, and he receives a 5% commission on every purchase you make (via Apple Affiliate Links). I’m sure if he gets enough positive feedback, or revenue from your music purchases, he will host the service with a more memorable and SEO-friendly URL.
Let’s make this kid rich.
